Transfer to Info Mailbox doesn't work

I wanted to change our CCR tree and simplify things. I had been asking callers to press * and then the info mailbox number but wanted to get away from that and simply make it a menu point transfer. We use info mailboxes because of the frequency that we have to change some of these messages. Also, I cannot always be on site to change the messages when needed and am afraid if I leave the task of changing a point on the CCR tree to the secretary we may have a disaster! Another advantage is that I can change the Info Mailbox message remotely.
I obviously, wrongly assumed that a Transfer menu point could transfer directly to a mailbox because whenever I save the tree and try that transfer point I get the message that "the person you have called is not available" and I'm taken back to the menu.
I have nine info mailboxes. Is there any way to get the system to transfer directly to a mailbox (that does not have an associated extension) by using a menu point? Any other work around so I can use Info MAILBOXES instead of info POINTS.

I just re-read the manual and found that the lvmsg point transfers to a mailbox. Is this the answer to my question? Will the lvmsg point allow me to transfer to an INFO mailbox?

I don't know if you know this, but you have to diable the ccr tree that you are working on in order for the changes to be made and saved. That could be the source of your problem why the changes aren't taking. Yes you can put in transfer points to mailboxes and etc. But you must disable the tree to make changes. Hope that helps.

Thanks, to all who took the time to reply. I had a chance last evening and everything worked as I had wanted it to after making them lvmsg points instead of transfer points. I was aware of having to disable and save the tree but hadn't read the Leave Message section because I just wanted people to hear information! Anyhow, I now know if I want to send people to a mailbox I need to use lvmsg regardless what type of mailbox it is.
Thanks again,
Wayne
