We're in the process of picking up a new customer and they're asking for a couple options that I've not seen before. Going to be on an IP Office 500 v2 R8.0 Thought I would pass them on and see if anyone else has:

1> They want to be able to transfer to another person's hold. I understand the problems that could create if the other person already has someone on hold, and have explained parking, but they really want to transfer to hold if they can. If they have to go with the parks, is there a way to let them do that to specific park spots without a button for each? I know there is a short code for it, but is there a way to make a button and have it ask which spot to park to? A blank park button parks the call to the extension number plus 0-9. Since they would each want their own, need one that you can push the button, type the park spot, and I can put a button on each phone with "their" park spot to answer... If that makes sense.

2> This one should actually be something easy, but I've never had to use it. Is there a way to have a button (something with a light anyway) that will show when someone else has their phone on DND? I believe they have a receptionist who would like to know if one of the users is out of the office or busy before transferring or something to that effect.

Ideas, as always, are appreciated!

Thanks

2 is called BLF, program a "User" under the button.
1 You can park calls on another extension, from the Manager help ( you find it if you prss F1 in manager, golden tip here )

Call Park To Other Extension

Allows the user to park their current call against another user's extension. The parked call indication on that extension is then activated according to the telephone type.

If the target extension has a Call Park button with no specific park slot number, the parked call will be indicated by that button and can be unparked from the list of parked calls shown when that button is pressed.

· The park slot number assigned to the parked call is based on the number of the extension parking the call. For example, calls parked by extension 201 are assigned the park slot ID 2010, 2011 and so on up to 2019 depending on the number of calls parked.

I really try not to bother you guys until after I've been through the F1 help :)

I had read through the "User" button a few times, and did't see where it displayed the DND before. Must have been tired last night, though, because I see it now. Thanks!

As for the park to extension, though, I was a little confused. When I tried that before, with a blank park pickup on the other extensions, it seemed like anyone with the blank could get a list of and pick up the parks with that button. I'll have to give it another test. Even if everyone has a blank park pickup, it should only light the extension that it is parked to and that phone should be the only one with access to the parks that are sent to it, correct?
