I have an avaya 8700.

What I am wanting to do is have our attendant transfer to 3003 which is our guest account in audix, then once it goes to 3003 it needs to wait approx. 1 second then hit the 1 key in a feature access button. at that point the attendant would just punch the ext she is wanting to transfer to vm. as it is now once i hit transfer then 3003 there is no dial tone or anything, so i need to figure out how to make it wait, then the 1 key, then all the attendant has to do is dial the ext.
so if a call comes in and the attendant wants to send directly to vm, she hits a f.a.b. (which dials 3003, pauses for a second then 1) then the attendant can just punch in the ext for vm.

sorry if this is redundant, just trying to make it as clear as possible.

setup an autodial button to dial 3003~p1. If it's not enough of a pause try ~w. I think ~p = 1 sec, ~w = 4 sec.

I had tried the ~p1 but that didn't work. ~w1 doesn't seem to work either. i also tried ~p~p thinking that maybe it wasn't pausing long enough, but that didn't work either.
Thanks for the reply though.

still no go. it's like it's not even hitting the 1 after it dials 3003

i found this on these forums, but still doesn't seem to help in my case.

~w means to wait for dial tone, so it won't continue until it hears dial tone. I believe it will wait for a maximum of 30 seconds, but I haven't tested it.

~p is a 1.5 second wait. If you want more time, you should be able to put multiple ~p characters in a string.

WOOOW!!! - I never have to do anything but press one button to listen to my voice mails ever again!
