Here is the case.
The Big Boss does want anyone being able to call him directly. Accept from his secretary. My first idea was to give him a special cor and restrict all the other calls from calling, except the cor of the secretary. After doing that i found out the obvious. When she tried to transfer calls to the Boss she could not. Is there any other solution?
Thanks.

Why not just give him a new number that no-one knows?
Give his secretary his old number as a bridged appearance.

You can hide his new number from the Directory by putting a # in front of his name in the name field.

tasos77 ,

In the past I have used a cover path to the PA, with cover all selected (or have send calls on when PA there) and tell him to switch off if ever he wants to take calls.

Then assign an intercom button (intercom group)to transfer back or annouce calls on the PA's phone. Stick a busy inicator for the PA as I find they like that too.

That or the bridge as Ronster says.

I just prefer the cover/intercom route.

Glad you first install went well too

maybe this...
cover path with cover all for the boss and
priority button for his secretary ???

I would go with Ronster's suggestion, plus hide his (new) extension on internal outbound calls by giving the boss a unique COS that has "Client Room" set to Y. This will give the information in the "Room" field instead of the extension on internal calls.

I've had to do this in the past, and the Coverage suggestions don't work because of the redirect ring at the primary station before the call goes to cover.

If you have the SEND-ALL-CALLS activated on the boss' phone, and have the cov path to the secretary, put a PRIORITY button on the secretary phone.

She then presses the priority button and dials the boss' number. The priority then over-rules the send-all-calls and coverage path options and rings his phone. It also rings slightly different so he knows it's only from his secretary.

I alway,s use a coverpath for the bos/secretary and just set redirect ring = n (off)

and use the auto-icom.

In 5.0 i use a team button that has cfw/sc overwrite on yes at the secretary. (and in cor)
