Had this bit of code that worked on Access 97 under Windows NT server - since moving to Access 2000 on citrix metaframe xp it doesn't

DoCmd.TransferText acExportDelim, "TblSendToTEC", "tblSendtoTEA", strFileName

the specification name does exist

any help appreciated

The easiest way to fix this is to run the import using the menu options, just once.

That will create the schema spec file, and all will be right with the world.

Thanks Chaz

I've done that and it may have helped.
I've also found that it doesn't like the fact that strFileName doesn't have an extension e.g. .txt
but i can't have an extension because the company I'm sending it too don't want a file extension !

You could just export the file and then rename it, removing the file extension.

Thanks Ed

Yeah I will use the name function to rename the file
