I am not sure if my problem is my misunderstanding of the Transfer Recall function, or if I am missing a setting somewhere.

I have a TDA200, and am trying to setup the Transfer Recall function to send transferred calls to voice mail instead of sending them back to the originating station. I have the Transfer Recall counter set to 15 seconds and an extension set under "Transfer Recall Destination" in wired extension settings [4.1.1].

However, with or without the "Transfer Recall Destination" option set, the calls continue to be transferred back to the originating station.

Thanks!

you must fwd busy/na each ext to the fdn of voicmail
either thru the keypad or with software

That is the current setup. However, for the less than technical users that want to put their phone in DND, they need to punch the 7-digit code to enable DND and then to disable and re-enable just the FWD functionality. This causes problems believe it or not, I need to make it 'easier' for them and completely bypass the user for the forwarding to voice mail.

Why would the Transfer Recall Destination not work on a TDA200?

you don't need to do that once you have fwd b/na
set all you have to do is punch your forward button once
and you are dnd again you are fwd off again you are busy/no answer

CWC3 is right, setting Fwd Busy/NA to Vmail means that no call will be un-answered.
I have a site that uses this setup on a TDA600 + TVM200
and the Customer has said they have reduced the number of Lost/un-answered calls by a large margin, + the receptionists no longer have to spend there time chasing people to give them messages.

I set that option on the -3 tda 50
I have in the shop and recall destination did
not work either

FWD b/na it is then! Thanks guys.

I just wish I knew why the Recall option doesn't work the way it seems like it should. It annoys me when features don't work the way you expect them too.

It depends on what intergration mode you're using, If using DPT make sure in the system programming that under *GROUPS*, *VM(DPT)GROUPS*, System settings that transfer recall to mailbox is enabled.

If using DTMF make sure in the system programming that under *GROUPS*, *VM(DTMF)GROUPS*, System settings that intercept Routing to the VPS is set to , answer by mailbox.

hope this helps ya!
Terry
