Transfer lines from Merlin to Standalone - suggestions?

Hello,

I currently have 2 phone lines coming into my Merlin phone system that are setup in a pool for one of our subcompanies to use (3 employees). As we are in the process of separating this company from ourselves, I have been asked to come up with a solution for pulling these lines from our system and providing them with a separate telephony solution.

The office the subcompany will be using is still in the same building, so I am able to re-terminate the lines at their location after transferring billing to them. Only thing is that I'm not very familiar with any small business solutions for splitting a couple of lines between 3 users. I'll be looking around for hardware, but has anyone been happy with a specific solution they'd like to share? Any input is appreciated.

I should mention that I am working on this project with the assumption that the company may grow to 5 users in the near future. Please take that into consideration when replying.

Easy solution is to install a small Partner ACS key system - you can unplug lines from Merlin and plug into Partner. Upgrade their phones to Partner phones. OR - a shorter-term approach is to buy an old Merlin KSU (206 or 410) and mount next to existing. This would allow them to continue using same phones...

One thing not mentioned in the original question, or in the title of the question is what type of Merlin system is being used. (Classic, Legend or Magix).

If the people currently have access to a voicemail system and wish to continue having voicemail service, go with the Avaya Partner ACS (R6 processor, 308EC module, 5 module holder (extra slots for future expansion), Partner Voice Messaging [large] and a suitable number of, say, 18D telephone sets).
