Greetings all,

Kind of a rookie question for the experts as I am not too familiar with PBX programming. We have lots of phones that are unable to transfer calls when the transfer button is pushed. Is this a programming issue or a feature on the phone? I have looked at both and switch the phone to a new one but still didn't work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure the phones have the correct firmware

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

Make sur your firmware is current for your 39XX type sets if you have them. Also, do a TNB printout to make sure the sets are correctly desi'd. A good rule of thumb is for m2000 is too always program the sets with the same default features and program them on the same key throughout you plant or site. Key 4 CFW, Key 3 AO6, Key 4 TRN or whatever template you want to use. This way you always know that the feature is on the phone and what key its on without having to print it out.

There are also restrictions on transferring unanswered unsupervised trunk calls.

Any phone that has paper labels or key caps that can be moved around has the potential for being incorrect. So check the phone's programming against the keys and make sure they match.

Also - check your phone's programming as well. May want to print out a phone's TNB and copy/paste it here as you can restrict transfers in programming.

+ 1 to all the above! If you look in ld 11 and PRT the DN so you can locate the TN and then PRT that. It will show you the sets configuration. GHTROUT has a good reference for basic operations here
