Transfer from CSV to SQL table fails

Hi,
Transfer from CSV file to SQL table using DTS wizard fails
SQL complains about delimiters, but when the file is first coverted to "txt" using MS Word 2K then the transfer works!

Please advise -need to automate and eliminate conversion first to word

OS - Win2K server SP3, SQK 2K server Enterprise SP2

Is there any possiblity that you have text fields that have commas in them? Like a company name, Smith, Smith & Jones, something like that?

No, but the whole file has comma separated values!!
and the source application (legacy) has only two output formats, CSV and SLK ..
I have no experience with BCP -it could be an alternative but when I used the BOL example, the conversion fails with an error about the record delimiters (CR/Lf)..
