Transfer directly to Voicemail - Do not ring extension

I have an IP 500 (New Install) and need to provide a way for the Receptionist to transfer a call directly to a users voicemail without ringing the extension.

Is this possible? If so, please provide instructions.

What VM do you have???

On Intuity VM Pro a short code like this works a treat.

3 digit extn no's

SC: #XXX
Feature: Voicemail Collect
Tel No: #N
Line Group: 0

Then they just dial (or transfer to) #extn no to get to a users mailbox.

Create a system shortcode like this one:

#2xx #2N VoicemailCollect 0

Note: 2xx is your extension dialing plan or whatever it is.

When recept gets a call she presses the xfer button dial # # + the extension number of mail box then hangs up or press xfer again to complete the xfer to the users mailbox.

Sorry, type o error, use just one pound sign instead of two to xfer the call.

Also since you are on 4.0 you can use the visial voice button (if you use it) to do the transfer directly to VM.
