We have an executive and an admin.
Exec: ext A Admin ext B
Call rings to ext A and if not answer goes to cover path pt 1 which is ext B, if ext B answers and exec ext A, says yes I can take the call now, when she transfers it back to him, it goes straigh to his voicemail...is there a way for it to ring back on his phone?

THanks!

No.

Once his phone rings for a call, it will not ring again for the same call.

You could park the call on her extension and have him pick it up.

our you could give the admin a priority button, and priority permissions in her cos. Then she will ring on the exec station.

An other way is set up a intercom group with intercom buttons

Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

Create an x ported station and bridge that station on the executives phone. Transfer the call to the bridged appearance. Alternatively, cover the x ported station to a cover answer group with only the executives extension in it. The call is then transfered again to the x ported station.

I'm not sure the last suggestion of a bridged appearance would work either. It would still see that the station on one of it's buttons has already rang for the active call and should ignore it.

The intercom function is interesting, but you couldn't transfer the call to an intercom....

The BEST option is to setup a bridged appearance of this line on both of their phones (give the exec a non-DID # with bridges of all three of his appearances). Set the appearances to delay ring or No Ring on the exec's phone, make the bridges on the admin's phones immediate ring. She answers his calls, dials his extension and tells him he has a call on line 1.

best resolution I have found for this is to give the EXEC (line A) a coverage path that will ring say 7 to 8 times, give the admin (line B) delayed bridged appearnces of line A and also an intercom to A, when the bridges begin to ring on admin phone he/she knows that line A has/can not pick up and admin will answer...they can put call on hold, announce and line A can pick up....

Thanks to all!

I went with nocster's solution, (the admin didn't want it to ring on her phone right away..) tested it, and it will do what I need it to do!

Thanks again!!!

delayed bridge - bridged appearance with a delayed ring, as opposed to a standard ring or an abbreviated ring.
