Training sites

Where can i go to get training on the HiPath Open Scape systems? Should I be looking for HiPath training or Open Scape or both, are they the same thing?

I'm new to this PBX, not telecom, so I need a little help in getting started on the training and where to go.

As far as what training... it depends on the system(s) that you have. HiPath and OpenScape are rather generic names given to a wide range of products and services. Examples: HiPath 4000 = PBX. OpenScape 4000 is also a PBX, just a newer version. HiPath Trading = old dispatch console... OpenScape Xpert = new dispatch console. I think it's now called ATOS OpenScape Xpert.

They have a wide range of training available. Some of the basic stuff is computer-based-training. Higher level stuff may be instructor-led via webinar. The super-heavy-duty training may be in-person at one of their training sites. In the US, it's in Irving TX.

The classes that I've attended have been really good. Even with the online classes, you get good reference material to keep for future use.

They use a points-based system for the classes. Points translate to cost. So you buy a bunch of points and then you use them however you like. They typically give you a year to use your points.

Do they have classes in Irving anymore? I've looked for the past few years for classes in the US, and the only classes (in English) for my 4k I could ever find were always in Germany.

Last I'd heard, they build classes based on demand. So if a company wants 10 seats, they could build a class for 20 and hope to fill them all.
