Hi,

I have been given the glorious opportunity to train a sales person and a copier technician on the basics of the IP Office telephone system.. Training is not my strong point.

So my question is where would be a good place to start? I know the best place to start would be telling my boss to pay for training but I doubt that will happen.

I've linked them to the YouTube training videos but more than that I don't know. Unfortunately patience is not my strong point either and they don't listen. Is there a Dummies Guide to the Avaya that i can staple to their forehead? [hairpull2]

Hi
You need to study the manuals available to download from avaya.com , they are pretty informative for the basics but you need to invest in time. Give them the Manager also to play with offline configurations and the manager help is also good.

Well they aren't end users my manager wants to use them for 1st line support. so i need to teach them troubleshooting etc. Hence my frustration.

Ouch. Can you not explain they're likely to create more work for you in the end?

not arrogant, just succinct.

I agree with TomMills, I realize it's not your call, but let your boss know this will end with him spending more money for a qualified tech to fix mistakes. Literally been there, done that.

Been there, done that
