Looking to set up some Traffic Reports for the console and use the Traffic Analysis mod from TM to decipher it. My question is the TM has 4 TTY’s built for it should I turn TRF on for all 4 or does it just pull from 1 of the ports and if 1 how do I know which 1? Hope this makes since.

The 4 tty's that you refer to are probably pseudo tty's that are used by TM to rlogin to the switch. You wouldn't want TRF on those.
The only time you need to put TRF on a tty is when you have a serial port connected to an external buffer box and TM is collecting traffic from the that box.
Other options are
1. Set up a DBA session following the TM Admin guide. This allows the switch to buffer the traffic data and FTP it to TM.
2. Configure TM to collect the traffic hourly by logging in to the switch. TM would log in via one of your 4 pseudo-tty's and pull the previous hour's traffic data. But you don't need USER TRF programmed on the tty for this to work.

I'll give it a try
thanks

Ok it looks like I have everything set right but yet I can not get any report from TM. When I try to pull a report it says there's no data for this report. If I turn on a TTY to see Traffic I can see the information so I know that there is data. Then I go to TM and do the Traffic Data Collection and I watch it log in and turn on and I assume collect all the data for the reports with no errors but when I try to pull a report I get nothing. What am I missing?

Like lretrievers says, you also have to parse the data - a separate operation that can be scheduled after each collection.
I don't have a working TM anymore so can't give you the details.

Sorry for the delay, once I set up the schedule it started working. I guess I was reading the manual wrong because where it said to test all I need to do is go into Traffic Analysis and run the SET UPTO PBX FOR TRAFFIC I assumed it collected the data. Well I was wrong, thanks for all the help like always this site is the best…Have a great weekend. I'm sure I'll have more question next week.
