I'm hunting for a load of spares for, what i think, are hicom 300 related.
I have a full list of part numbers etc but am getting nowhere fast.
For example, most siemens people I speak to have never heard of a Tradeboard which figures on my list.
Anyone know where to look next?

The tradeboard is Hicom Trading E which is a dealerborad add on for the 300. Not very popular in the UK (because it's awful) but very popular in Germany so you may have some luck there. As for the rest there are loads of campanies in the UK that will sell you Hicom spares including Siemens.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Is anybody out there looking after one of these systems [ie got one up and running?]

I have several versions of Hicom 300 running under my care, but nothing with the "Tradeboard" you mentioned.

Big - is that like a message board for a call center or something? I've never heard of it before.

No it's a turret used by traders, also called broker boards because they have 2 handsets and were originally used to broker deals between 2 parties. The hicom wasn't very popular because the purpose of a trading turret was to have all lines available within 20ms, most trading systems are non blocking which is why PBXs fail to perform properly. Google IPC tradenet, Etrali etradeal or BT ITS for more info.
