Has anybody incorporated a Crystal Report with drilldowns in TRACKIT? The Group tree option behaves weirdly. Does not allow us to navigate back to the start of a tree once we drill down to a detail. Is there any particular setting to use with this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not familiar with TRACKIT. Does it use a web browser-based viewer? There are several different web viewers and they're layed out differently than their ActiveX cousin, so sometimes it's not obvious how to move between a drill-down view and the main report.

TrackIt is a call tracking software by Intuit, used typically by the help desk. Crystal is integrated with TRACKIT and I am not usre what type of viewer it uses. But it is surely not web based.

Normally in the Crystal ActiveX viewer, when you drill down, you see two tabs in the viewer, one for the Main report and another for the drill-down selection. Are you not seeing the tab the main report?

I have the report as a seperate rpt file, and it works perfectly. When I try to open the same rpt file through TRACKIT, the group tree does not let me navigate back to the main page...nor do the preview tabs available. I am guessing this is some kind of a problem with the TRACKIT integration and not specifically the Crystal Report.

I would agree. What version of the crviewer.dll or crviewer9.dll does Trackit use? Is it the same version as the Crystal Reports you used to create the report?

I've got Track-It at the office. I'll do some testing, but I'm sure that the integration itself doesn't allow the drill-down stuff.

Upon further review, it looks like they either forgot to allow drill down, or they just didn't want to do it. Regardless of why, it doesn't support it.

The version I have (4.0) doesn't have the same group tree problem that you're experiencing. No trouble with mine.
