Are there any tips on how to get a solid 4-point track in AE??? I'm doing some product replacements and the tracks that I'm doing work but they shake a little too much. These are long shots so editing individual keyframes isn't really practical. Any ideas???ˇ
You should be able to. Now the hard part. Was it shot on film? If so, you have to deal with gate weave from the telecine first. Then you'll probably have to crank down the granularity of the tracking, ie.. the subpixel tracking..however, as this gets better, the render times go up. So run a test and live with what works best for the time vs quality. You will need to probably break the shot up into manageable chunks, too. Otherwise, if the tracked portion is obscured during the track, it will probably drift.
These are general things. There's a lot you can do, or shouldn't do depending on the footage, the subject and other variables.
