"TRACK ON" is a command that will turn on the RIP/SAP tracking screen.. It only applies to IPX traffic. It's generally used to troubleshoot server connection problems.
If this is not working on the server, I am guessing that you don't have IPX configured. IPX is not required to run Netware 6, and is not installed unless you tell it to do so during the install.
For IP, you don't have a real-time way to see a lot of the stuff that you could find with "Track On."
However, if you're using SLP with your TCP/IP configuration, there are several commands to view and test the connectivity of servers. Nothing I know of off-hand for watching workstation negotiation except doing a packet trace.
For SLP.. there is a lot to learn, too much to mention here. but if you do the following from your console, you should get a basic idea.
DISPLAY SLP SERVICES - will list all the known services that have been discovered through slp.
DISPLAY SLP DAS - Will tell you the status of your SLP Directory Agent, scope, etc.
Look at this TID, it provides a pretty good overview.
Any way to basically find out how much broad cast the server is being hit by.
I mean there are a number of collision domains on our network, I would like to know how much broadcast the server is being hit with and if that is rather critical.
