Is there a tool I can use to trace digits send by octel 200 s.4.0.0-2 to MD110 BC12SP9 ports?

Koobro

In the OCTEL you can use:
@L T , then 1, and then C for the ports.
The serial link can be examined by @MON2.

In the MD110 you need to use the ST xxx commands for Signal trace or the SUxx commands for Status on Extensions.

Doktor,

Thanks, i am familiar with octel @l t. What is the complete command in MD?

The complete MD110 command sequence is:
STDIP;
STISR; (Clears Trace buffer)
STDNI:DIR=8888; (Ext.no. for VM port)
STTSS:TRI=1,SIZE=100; (Set trace buffer to 100 lines)
STDIP;
STTSI:TRI=1; (starts the trace)
Make a call to the VM port 8888.
STTSE:TRI=1; (stops the trace)
STRAP:TRI=1;
Print the result.
Have the prinout explained by your Ericsson representative,
if you have any problems with the understanding of this printout.

Imho, to decode the printout you need a program from SAM Tools.

Doktor,

Thanks for the commands but i'm not quite there. I've got 16 analog lines between the md and octel. If i initiate a trace it will be difficult to know which line/port octel will use talking to the md to trace. What i'm actually trying to investigate is, I call a number which has a diversion to sdm in octel. Octel is suppose to call a number in info table index 6 but goes into a loop. I have to trace why md is not accepting the number. If i dial the same number in the pbx its works fine. This is a mistery!

Maybe the Octel ext. is not allowed to call the number, try to change the Octel line - EXCAC:DIR=x,TRAF=03151515;

Mundus,

Thanks for the tip i tried it and unfortunately still no joy.

It sounds to like the problem you mentioned in the OCTEL forum : thread923-1255574
Am I right?
Stil I prefer to use Index 18 with next mailbox instead of using index 6 with Pre extension digits.
///doktor

Did you solve this problem also?
Or do you need more help.
///doktor

Actually it is the same problem.

Thanks

hi,
you can trace also on unit=ELP6 (if you have analog lines)in the lim where the octel is connected.
stuni:unit=elp6,lim= ;

but you still have the problem to analyse the trace !

best regards

In SDM you need Pre-Extension-Digits. Example:

Caller in SDM can press 1 or 2 or 3.

With pre-ext.digit you set i.e. 55

So the completed numbers are

551
552
553

This again must be mailboxes. And here you set in COS the attribut "Call extension first before greeting". Octel then goes to MD...
