hi all, can someone refresh my memory on how to trace calls in Session Manager? i remember being able to see live traces or go to a screen where i could look at traces but it's been about 18 months since i've worked on SM that i can't remember where to go.

my company has System Manager and from there i can pick Session Manager but after that, i don't remember where to go.

traceSM is tool that you are looking for

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Keep in mind you have to log in to the CLI of the Session Manager to run traceSM.

Regards

Fritz

Thanks but how do i do this? I get to Session Manager via System Manager and we're on version 6.3.

Thanks. I've seen that blog before and just printed it before I saw your reply.

I also use Putty to get into Session Mngr to run the traces, etc.

I downloaded Tutty but have Putty as well. New Question:

If i have a Session Manager and then I have 2 additional IP's for Session Manager 1 and 2, which one do you Putty in to? I have 3 IP's total.

I put all of them in there...and name each one so I can select the one I want to log into. Then click on the one you want and select "load" - it fills in the form and then click on "open".

when i set up my connections, do they need to be SSH or Telnet or any other parameters?
