Tracing An ASP.Net Page 1

I've managed to set up tracing nicely via the web.config and can view the Trace.axd file ithout any difficulty.

The only thing that surprises me is....where is this file held? I can't see it in the virtual directory or anywhere else for that matter. Since I can access it as if it were a html file in my virtual directory I'd expect to be able to see it using file explorer.

So my question is, where is the trace.axd file stored?

Trace.axd file is not a physical file that can be browsed or used. It is generated on the fly when you request it.
