I have an outside number programmed as a hotline on my phone. I frequently get a fast busy when I call this one number (by pressing my hotline key). All four of my outbound T1s stat fine. Is there any way that I can figure out what channel I'm hitting? The far end (the one I frequently get a fast busy on) says it's got to be my PBX, not his. thanks.

i did that and it showed IDLE. So I can't tell what channel I'm hitting that's giving me the fast busy.

you can use your maintenance phone and check all the channels indiviually. Try the trac again. I don't see why it would come back idle.

enhanced trace, traces the tn for the duration.. i would put the hot d on a test phone in the switch room with just one key programed.. make the readout a little eaiser to follow...

Is the route ISDN? You could turn on D-channel messaging during a low call volume period and find out what is happening that way. JK

dch enl will not help if your call is not making it out of the switch.. but it's worth a try..key word, low traffic caommand only..btw.. enhanced trace does not work in an opt 11 at my last attempt...
