Is there anyway to trace a call without any call accounting software. We have 2 inbound trunk groups. One has 2 PRIs and the other are groundstart. Many 800#s and local number to access the station from outside. The harrasing to the customer is random but always at night. They make sure no one's there to answer and then leave nice little messages. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Without Call Accounting software or someone there to utilize the *57 (this would intail using a TRK-ID button and dial access to the trunk), the only other choice would be to time out your messages to where between certain hours a closed message will be played via vectoring. Wish I had better news.

It is possible to hook up a dot matrix printer to the EIA output on the switch to catch call data. You would need to CHA SYS CDR to output the fields you want. Its not the most efficient way and you would then have to look through all the individual call records but its a simple setup and you would get your caller eventually.
