trace computer through MAC address

Usually I received IP conflict message on the 2000-server which is my internet server and isa-2000 is also running on it.

It gives me the MAC address of the system where this ip is already being used. Is there any way I could figure out where that computer is on the network or is it outside the network.
Because these IP are given to us by our T1 provider.

there are tons of free and shareware software. I think you can even use jetadmin to scan a mac address as I recall.

I would do a google search for "AngryIP" it is awsesome. Can tell you the IP, Host Name and Mac Address for whatever subnet range you give it.
