HI all

How can you trace/view real time or log files...

any trac information of calls. Lets say if a user was having trouble dialing a specific number is there a way of tracing his call so you can see exactly why it is failing.

You can do a few things..

best way is to debug the live calls on the gateway...so you can see the entire call process like setup, aknowledgement, connect, and tear down real time

You could also use the CCM CMR files to view logs/history

Ok can you give me an idots guide(and I mean idiots guide)starting from the very begining like ..you need to telnet..or web browse to xxxxx etc etc etc of the best way to get to that info...

Any Help and I'll owe you the moon on a stick.

sure so let me know what devices you have on your voice network that connect to your voice circuits

like what version of Callmanager or is this callmanager express?

what gateway, like what device connects to your outbound voice circuits?

are your outbound voice circuits PRI's? In other words to they have a D-Channel (23B + 1D) (or 24 B channels)?

Then i can tell you what to connect to...and what/how to view calls.

Also, confirm if it's a Callmanager your using (not CM express), you can view the attempted/failed/connected call records and I can tell you how

if you're not sure of any of this, and you are using callmanager (not express) fo to "Device", then "gateway" and list any gateways you see here (no need to list VG248 or VG224's, just list everything else)

If it's a Callmanager express, telnet or console into your CM Express router and list the interface configurations so i can figure out what you need to do next
