Trace a call 1

Hi,

I need some help please. I want to trace 'real time' a call into a DN or TN. I know the command trac 0 5900 shows the snapshot but I also tried entc 248 0 1 0 0005 and then gotr expecting to see the information scrolling up the screen... but it doesn't! FITR shows that I have trace on but nothing is displayed.

Am I missing something REALLY obvious here?!?!?!

So you set up the entc tn "time" = 1 hour, 0100?

Then you hit GOTR.
You get the keys scrolling across your screen once.

You initiate a call, but no response.

....

recomend trying another tn.

Make sure you are using the right tn.

For instance.

I have two phones with xxx on them.

I started the entc and gotr.

I picked up the phone, but nothing happened. I was on the phone with the DN that did not have the trace on it.

found your problem.

If the phone/tn is ringing, the entc won't work. A person has to press the button on the phone!

Also, if it the entc is running, a person gets DT on the phone, it will show you the status right away!
