Is there anyway to adjust this? I am running an OPT11 Release 23 (yes its old!!) and the issue I have is that when you call certain Auto Attendants they dont hear the key strokes when you try and dial by extension.

The same AA work fine on Rel 25.40 and up switches but all PBX at Rel 23 seem to have the same issue (we have 3).

Is there anyway to change or adjust the output of the tone that is generated by digital sets?

The strange part here is that it works fine on an analog set but not on any of the digital sets (different cards, shelves, etc...

I suspect the problem is in the Route Data Block(s) for outbound calls. Do this:

[tt]
LD 16
REQ CHG
TYPE RDB
etc etc. Then at CNTL...

CNTL YES
TIMR EOD 1024
TIMR ODT 1024
[/tt]
now hit return until you get REQ

When you call from a digital set, the end of dial timer must expire before DTMF is sent out on an established call. Those TIMR settings will fix the problem.

***UPDATE***

Changed EEST to yes and seems to be working now...will post back if this doesnt resolve the issue!!

Thx

EEST = End to End Signaling Tones
Analog sets work because they generate their own tones via the keypad. Digital sets need to generate a tone via the conference tone and digit pack. This is true of ALL software levels so it has nothing to do with being an "old" release.

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!

To clarify:

I needed to change both settings for this to work:

1. EEST to yes
2. Timers on route as mentioned by GHTROUT -Thx!!

Thx again to this site!!
