I want to total a field that has rates (RATE) in it. It is a currency field and I need a TOTal field that sums up the numbers in the RATE field [sig][/sig]

A field called Total would imply that you were running a calculation on numbers in the same row. When I read your question I assumed that is not really what you want. Are you saying you want to add all of the figures in the column marked Rate together? If so your calculation will have to be on a report form. A calculated control would allow you to summarize this data. [sig][/sig]

That is what I want as you said, Now I can't get my expression to work
Sum Of Rate: Sum([BWDNATE].[Rate]) [sig][/sig]

Expressions are not my strong point. I'm hoping someone else will jump on this or that you have figured this out by now. Good luck.
