The system is a CS1000E HA Rls 7.5 with 1 PRI 4 port gateway and 2 UDT PRI cards, 1 per 10 slot cabinet. CallPilot 24 port, Miran, 16 Rancon,32 muscon. 450 IP sets, 1 page port, 16 TDM ports. Presently we are using 4 PRI's. The MGC's have the 128 port DSP Dboard. The gateway has a 96 port DB on its MGC. We will be adding 14 PRI's using a 2nd PRIgateway and 8 more UDT cards, 4 per cabinet. Our vendor has configured additional DSP's for non blocking, 2 more 32 port DSP DB's and 3 32 port VGMC's. Is this too many? Can a 32 port DSP DB be added to a MGC that has a 128 DSP DB? I think you can program up to card 0 0 15 for the DSP's.

Thanks,

An MGC card can support up to 256 dsp ports if you have package 418 in the switch.

This information is in NN43001-311_05.01_installation_Circuit_Card_Reference.pdf

on page 641.

I wouldn't let your vendor know you came here to question their engineering.

Thank You for yor response. Did that seem like too many DSP's for that many PRI's/IP sets?

Without knowing the design of the whole project I would hesitate to question what your vendor has engineered. Good luck with the upgrade.
