Hi everyone and I thank you for any assistance,

People calling into our phone system are given 5 options.

Example
1 Sales promotions
2 for directions
3 for hours
4 to place an order

I need to change the message that holds our business hours

I know that feature 983 is roughly where I start, but part of the problem is I do not know the path for the hours message..

Again, you help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll have to start in your CCR to see how it's programmed, and SupportDude is right, it is a little complicated.

To find out how option 3 is routed, under f983 programming, press OTHR, CCR, and get into the CCR tree you're using(probably 1). You'll be prompted for the path, enter 3. If the path is Info, you'll have to record the prompt there under CCR. If it's programmed as LV MSG, then the mailbox it goes to will be listed there, and you can change it by logging into that box with f981.

If it's INFO, you'll have to disable the tree under TABLES, and then go back to CCR tree path 3 and re-record. Then re-enable the CCR tree under Tables when you're done.

If this sounds incredibly complicated, it's probably best to call a tech. Then you can blame it on them if they flub it up.

Since we already know from the single digit choices in your example that this is a CCR menu and not just a greeting, the correct answer here is that you should call your local vendor and have them send a certified (or at the very least, qualified) technician out to assist you.

Thank you everyone for you assistance and impute. The correct answer and encouragement was actually provided by wRikRodgers; thank you again. The point being that a reasonably bright person when provide with clear and sequential steps can accomplish the task without the expense of a specialized person.

Thank you all
