Any one know if a malfunctioning MCOU Card would create problems dialing out on a STRATA 12 system?

An MCOU, Wow, I haven't seen a 12 for a long time. I thought maybe an HCOU (12e) Of course I've haven't seen a Strata III for a long time either.

The only time I've seen any dialing problems:
-DTMF Signal timer is too short at default 80ms. (PROGRAM 01- System Ass.)
-REP RDL keys left as the * and # keys so they don't provide DTMF for accessing pagers or voicemail systems.
-I haven't worked with Toshiba for a long time but I seem to remember under some conditions, possibly toll restriction they would stop DTMF Tones after 16 Digits.

be sure that your system didn't default a line to rotary dial.. i've had that problem on a single line.. the mcou will effect all lines, software could effect just one.. i had a 6e installed at the house for a while 20 years ago.. simple little system... (teenage boys sometimes need toll restriction)... that was before the internet

I have a Toshiba Strata DX 280. Our receptionist has a headset made by Plantronics, model CT12. At our old office, she had it set up for when she removed the headset from the cradle, all incoming calls were forwarded to this headset which ran off of an analog line. When she replaced the headset onto the cradle, the calls would then ring at the station, which is on a digital line. She did this without using an access code to forward the calls. Does anyone know how this was done? Thank you in advance.

Well, you need to change your ringing parameters in program 81. You will have to view where all calls are programmed to ring first. If calls are callforwarded to the single line port you will have to cancel call forwarding from where calls are being forwarde from. There is call forward cancel I believe is:
Int # 6051 from that phone.

Hope this helps.

So if I set the lines to ring at the port that the headset is on as well as the station they need to ring to, and i take the headset off the cradle, the calls will then ring at the headset instead of the station?

I set the Headset to ring when a call comes in and now it rings whether it is on the cradle or not. I'm not sure if they had it set up that way in the first place or not. These are office folk so they don't really know what they had, I'll see if that is good enough for them. Thank you this helped a lot...I think.
