The writing was on the wall when they pulled out of the UK voice market last year. We never came up against them with any quotes before that either, so no change/loss here really :)

This is interesting, I would say Toshiba systems are in many retailers and offices here in Chicagoland.

Whole Foods, Mariano's, REI Outdoor Apparel, LensCrafters to name a few retailers I've seen the systems going strong in.

All the better for Avaya and Mitel etc though. More on premise sales anyway, as well as picking up the fallout from this announcement, if they are big in the US then there should be some large companies who like consistency across their sites placing some nice orders (albeit begrudgingly):)

Just verified from Toshiba themselves that it's true. What are Whole Foods, LensCrafters, Lowe's Home Improvment, Barnes and Noble and REI all going to do? This system has consistently been a good product that rivaled any Panasonic, NEC, Norstar key hybrid system out there. They really dropped the ball. Maybe Panasonic will pick them up or some obscure company like Iwatsu.
