We have a program commercially written using topspeed. Using the ODBC drivers was OK to extract data into Access until last week, when we now get an error."Internal error: tpsbt:cpp line 2172"
In the details - "MSACCESS caused an invalid page fault in module C40TRX.DLL....."
Access doesn't have a C40TRX.DLL.
Is this from Clarion/Topspeed?

gearhead,

The person that created that file, did not leave us with the system, just the program that open is it with TopScan and requires the password to view it. There nothing more of info i know beside this, but if you want i can e-mail you one of the files that are password protected, but i realy need help solving this ASAP.

Thank You

If you are sincere and at your last option then zip the executable and the tps file and email as an attachment to gearhead@mail.com Place "Topspeed file" in the subject line. I will review the files and report back.

Bill,
I tried emailing you back as a follow and and have not received a response. Are you still around ....

Is there any easy way to export .TPS files into a readable format?

For a programmer with the development system, yes. For an end user or programmer of another language, no. There is an odbc driver available from the vendor.

Export the data to something accessable by you web server or if win32 get an odbc driver which works in limited fashion with ADO for ASP and IIS.
