topspeed dbase 3 memo

I have clarion 6 Enterprise.
I am using the dbaselll file driver because my Topspeed files become corrupted running under windows XP on a network. I need to create a memo field in the dictionary.
How do I do this. Where do I put the Name for the pointer in the dictionary? Could someone send me a dbase3 file with a memo field so that I could import it in to my dictionary to see how this works? The manual is is a little vague on this.
I have tried everything and I am at my wits end.
Please help.

Why not address the TPS corruption instead?
Have you corrected your Users' OpLock settings?

Changing the users server settings is NOT an option.
Huge company and these programs only run on 4 serverswith about a hundred users. Dbsae has worked well in this enviroment. Topspeed database has too many problems on network.
Can't seem to get a memo field working in Dbase.
