I have installed a program (application) for AutoCAD in several computers.
The program works quite fine in all the AutoCAD programs (they are all the same version – AutoCAD 2002).

There is only one problem. Although the icons of the toolbars associated to the program display the name of the icon when the mouse is on it, and execute the function associated to that icon, the problem is that in some computers the icons don’t display the image that we can see on other computers. It appears a yellow smile with dark glasses.

How can I make appear the correct image of those icons instead of the yellow smile with the dark glasses?

Thanks in advance!

J.C.

I think the yellow smilies mean that AutoCAD can't find the actual icon files. Either they're missing or you have to specify their location.

I had this problem with a CAFM application, the *.bmp files had not been added to the ACAD search path.

So how can I specify the location of the actual icon files? Or how can I ad the ACAD search path to the correct files?

Thanks.

J.C.

The AutoCAD search path is added under the AutoCAD preferences.

Type “config” to access the dialog.

Select the “Files” tab and expand the “support files search path”.

Add the relevant directory to the list.

Pete.

If you still get the smileys after updating the support path, try renaming the menu's .mnr and .mnc (for backup purposes) then restart Autocad.
