Is it possible to put a 'Send/Receive' button onto a toolbar in a 'Contacts' window in Outlook? I tend to create my mails from Contacts, but when I have clicked on 'Send' in the Create Mail window, I then have to go to the Inbox (or another mail window) to find a Send/Receive button. If I try to customise the toolbars in Contacts, the Send/Receive button doesn't seem to be available - and even if I create a new toolbar in the Inbox window with Send/Receive on it, Send/Receive disappears if I open the new toolbar in the Contacts window.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I didn't give the background:

I usually create my mails offline from the Contacts folder in Outlook. (Right-click on the contact and select 'New Message to Contact' from the drop-down list. This opens a 'New Message' window.) Clicking on 'Send' in the New Message window puts the message into Outbox, closes the window and returns me to the Contacts folder. I want to put a 'Send/Receive' button on the Contacts toolbar, so I don't have to go to a mail window to finish the job.

But you don't have to go to a new mail window. You just said *I hit send* and it goes to outbox.

Do you mean you want it to have a new, blank message for you instead? I still don't understand.

Exactly what do you want it to do after you hit send and it closes the message and puts it in the outbox?

Sorry...

If you are working offline in Outlook then it would be normal for the mail message to sit in the Outbox. Is perhaps what you are looking for is a way for the mail to send automatically when you click on SEND rather than having to click on SEND/RECEIVE to initiate the communication process.

But what kind of connection do you have? Is it dialup?

By the way pressing F5 is equal to clicking on SEND/RECEIVE although I am not certain if you have to me in a "Mail" screen. joegz
