Tool: System Status Launcher 22

It's been a little while since I last released an update, but something new is coming!

I have been working on developing System Status Launcher into a more complete toolset for IP Office engineers.

This isn't ready for release yet, this is just a little preview of what's to come!

Introducing IPO Toolbox (Name may be subject to change, but I don't wan't to be infringing on any Avaya trademarks)

What I have so far:
- The ability to launch Manager
- Much improved search, now searches for anything containing the search term rather than just left to right matching!
- The ability to add to the known units file/launch manager to a system not in the known units file
- Dark mode!
- Improved code efficiency

What I am working on:
- The ability to launch SysMonitor
- Automated fixes for common Avaya software issues. The one I am starting with is that age-old issue where the VMPro client will show a taskbar icon but the window will not show.
- Password manager functionality

Now, as I am investing a lot of time and effort in this, the full version probably won't be free. However I do not plan to charge a lot for it and there will also always be a free version (Essentially what system status launcher is now)

I will also be looking for beta testers before this launches, please get in touch if you are interested!

Looks prommising but does not work on a 32bit system 9i know v out of date but its the crap I have to wok with :-( )
because it is lool=king for system status in "program files(86)" not "Programm Files"
I suspect you have hard coded this rather than using the corect winsdows system variable

IPGuru,

Thanks for letting me know about that. I will get that fixed in IPO toolbox. There should be a beta available soon if you're interested in testing it out! [smile]

Automate away all the bullshit!

Thanks for this, very nice. I have been working on IPO for about 12 years and this is the first time I have used the known units option, in fact I don't think I had ever even noticed that 3rd folder option was for this. Now to get the known units csv filled up with all the systems we look at to save constantly having to use connecwise to get the system IPs.

Hi All,

If you're interested in beta testing this before it's released please fill out this form.

I will be distributing a beta version soon once it's ready for wider testing! [smile]

Cheers!

just signed up for your Beta version
love the idea of having things that make your live easier.

I rarely use the remote connection via VPN or good old dialing but I go from site to site some days and having a list of all the systems and their IP's is helpful some times

Signed up for Beta testing as well
Have you considered making this open source so others may contribute easily?

That's something I had considered but right now I want to work on it myself.

Making good progress now, the automated VMPro fix is ready. A little video of it in action here. It fixes the issue where VMPro Client shows a taskbar icon but doesn't open. The issue is that the registry keys that define where on the screen the VMPro client window shows get corrupted.

Automate away all the bullshit!

Thanks, will play with it tonight.
