I just recently inherited an IP Office system at one of our sister agencies that I am now responsible for. The system was initially setup by a contractor and nobody in the office was around when it was installed. I have no passwords, no documentation, and am 1000 miles away. I have remote access to the PC with IP Office Manager installed on it. I was trying to fix some long standing problems that they have been dealing with, but cannot load the config because I don't have the password. The user that I have onsite who is my eyes and ears is very not technical. As far as I can tell from her explanations, the PC is hooked up to the PBX via a network cable. Since I have no documentation on how it was setup originally, I don't think wiping the config file is a viable option for me. I've done some research on resetting the Admin password, but I don't think I'm connected to the switch via DTE. Is that the only way that I can reset the admin password?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
