Hi

I'm using CR 8.5
I have a problem with a selection which gives me too many records,
something like:

Result 1.
Product name Price Rebate

Assistance 2.00 0 %
Assistance 2.00 0 %
Assistance 2.00 0 %
Assistance 2.00 0 %
Insurance 3.00 4 %
Insurance 3.00 4 %
Insurance 3.00 4 %

While I want to have:

Result 2.
Productname Price Rebate

Assistance 2.00 0 %
Insurance 3.00 4 %

This is in the detail section.

The weird thing is that it works well in one report (I have the result
N° 2)
but doesn't in another one in which I added other fields.
My report is grouped by contract number. To each contract are
associated
different products (such as insurance, assistance etc..), but here it's
like
it was selecting all the services of all the contracts, which is not
what I
want...
Hope someonne can help!

Where you've added other fields, you're adding from additional tables which are probably linked to the original table(s) incorrectly.

Verify your table links. If you think the links are okay, you may have to group on Product Type, and display your detail information in the Product Type Group Footer.

I would definitely investigate the links before adopting the latter approach.

Good luck,

Naith

Thanks Naith, I checked the links which seemed OK and tried the group soution which works very well

Thanks again
