Here is a challenge for the experts out there:

Does anybody out there know where I can find specs for the tone cadencies for analogue circuits for an S8700?
The country code is '2', system located in New Zealand and we are integrating to a third party recorder who needs to know the tone cadencies of busy tone, ring tone, intrusion tone, etc, etc. I have looked in all the Avaya docos I can find and nada.
There seem to be an area where you can customise this but nothing that tells me what the defaults are for the different country codes.

change system country"?
Or maybe that is only where u change it, but won't give u the info that u need? Usually the 'System Description' manuals give piles of specifications on the system, but I haven't looked for that in particular.

Da-vi'do
P.S. For the best response to a question, read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Please answer all questions so that I may have the info to assist you. Leaving a post on how you fixed the problem will also be appreciated.

Had a lookie under "change system country" and there is only a "tone detection" setting. There are some specs in the doco called "Enterprise Communications Server
System Description" but it is not detailed enough.

I guess I have to rely on Avaya.......

Found this in the definity pocket reference book.... hope it helps.

Dufus, does it mention which country this is for? Looking at the ringtone cadence (1000 on, 3000 off), it looks as US type tones so the country code is probably '1'.

The system I am working on is located in New Zealand, it is possible that Australian tone patterns are used but I cannot find those patterns either.

These are the default patterns for country code 1.

I'm not sure how much they might differ from country code 2, but perhaps you may find them on your document CD.

I found these in a document called the pocket reference.

The phrase to search for is "call progress tones".

It is supposed to be in the System Description but I haven't been able to find it in the newer versions. Go back to V8 and you should be able to pull it up.
