I need to install tomcat on our windows 2003 server to run an application we just bought.

The webserver has iis running as the main website is written in asp.

How do I install tomcat on a different port (80 used by iis) (what should I choose)and where do I put files from our application?

I have tried to instal with the info on tomcat.apache.org but no luck, says no dns etc.

Thanks in adnavce

Hi derwent,

I'm searching for help on configuring two Apache Tomcat installation on a windows 2003 server, but I found you cry for help so I have joined as I feel I could help.
Try this link it should give you a step by step as well as provide you with the correct files you need like for example the uniworker.properties file.

This site should give you the information you need as you haven't been specific which versions of tomcat and java you intend to use. The product I was installing at the time was ArcIMS if you need to search for more information.

I was a complete novice and was able to follow this so you should be ok. I'm sorry if I have done something incorrect in posting this reply, but it's my first time.

Regards

Mike
