Tomcat starts fine using ./startup.sh, but after a while does not respond and I have to start it again.
am I missing something?
I'm using Tomcat Web Server/3.2.3 (JSP 1.1; Servlet 2.2; Java 1.3.1

Please help

this is a longshot but if u are using an application on your server and its excuting exit(num) so it will shut down ur server as well

Actually you may be surprised how many people comfortable working with Java but new to J2EE make use of System.exit() in the beginning. It has been the source of many frustrating bugs in some systems that I have worked on.

Thank you both for your reply.
Where can I start looking for the problem, why is rewriting my server.xml file. each time it shuts down.?

Thank you very much
