The tomcat application has served very well in linux for almost half an year. But 7 days ago we're told that the operation system of the two servers must be changed from liunx to windows server 2003 stand edition. It's an order from our clients that we must obey, so we migrate our project: backup our application and the database, change the os of the two servers from linux to windows server 2003 stand edition, restore the tomcat application and DB data on the same two computers but not the same operation system.
And after the migration, it comes our nightmare...
About 5 days ago, the operations of our clients on the B/S application raised quickly(the business dealed this day is twice as the normal days). And we get a telephone from our clients every half-an-hour. So we restart the tomcat service every half-an-hour.
And we guessed that it might be the JDK version that cause this problem. So at that evening, we updated the JDK version of the application server to a higher version.
It realy works after we replace the JDK version. But this situation just last for 2 days. Yesterday forenoon and today forenoon we get complaint from our guest again. The web pages cannt be opened. So we must log on the application server, restart the tomcat service immediately, and call back our clients that they can continue their work.
So we call it a nightmare, didn't u think so?
Unfortunately we're all fresh men while has winserver as application server, could anyone please tell us your solution, or tell us some hints.
