Toll Free Number

I am not sure if anyone can help but here is my problem.
I am in Alberta, Canada. I have a client that I have just installed a BCM50. All went well except the Telco(Telus) had given this client a 18... number that is a USA toll free number. I have tried to call it, but can not do so from my area. This company has applied this number on all their trucks as well as advertising elsewhere, $30 thousand dollars in all. I need to have someone from the USA call this number and let me know if it is active and if so who owns it if possible. I also need to get the main number and area code so I can call them and see if we can buy this number from them if they are not using it very much or maybe not at all. The number is 1 866 806-0088.

For that number you can call 1 555 866 555-1313. Its a service Telus has and you have to pay for it. I think they still have that service.

Check with the telco...toll-free #'s can be restricted by NPA (area code)call Telus and insure yours and no others - North America wide - are restricted.

Thanks to everyone, I have made contact with this 18.. number. I had a tech I know in the US call this number. It turns out it is a pager number. I had him put my number in and hopefully this person will call me back.

Thank you hawks. I just had the owner of the number just call me. It belongs to the City of Caro, Georgia. I will keep yuor info you gave me handy in case I run into something like this again. Thanks again.
