I have an DID extension that when you call it locally from and outside number and if no one answers the phone, CallPilot picks up, plays the greeting and caller leaves message. Good.
But when you call the toll free number that hunts to the DID extension and no one answers, CallPilot picks up and plays the canned message that there is no mailbox for number xxx-xxx-xxxx. It repeats the TOLL FREE number. And the caller is then cut off.

I've tested the TF# and it hunts to the correct extension. Why isn't the mailbox for the extension picking up if dialed from the TF#?

Thanks

I have a handful of these and never bothered to try and mess with the LEC on what was being sent. I just added the toll free number to the mailbox as a second DN. Lazy, yes, but so few of these it didn't matter. And the problem I have is it's not all Toll Free numbers, only certain ones.

Thanks for the tip John. I added the TF# as an additional DN in CallPilot and still not working. CallPilot reacts as if there is no mailbox programmed. Any other suggestions?

What number is it telling you? Is it saying 918005551212 or 18005551212...etc. Whatever CallPilot is repeating is the number you want to put in the Additional DN field.

It repeats just the number 800-xxx-xxxx. No 1's, 9's or anything extra.

@Splic3d - My voice carrier is pointing the TF# to the DID extension in their network.

It looks as if it should work. This may be way off base, but try adding SFA to the DID extensions CLS.

I tried the SFA option, did nothing. I have no IDC tables built. Do you think if I built one and pointed it to the DID the mailbox would pick up?

New IDC table didn't work either.

Created a work-around. It's not pretty but it's working until I can figure out what my carrier is doing.

In app-builder, programmed a call-transfer block to ring the extension. In CallPilot programmed the TF# as a SDN and pointed it to the call-transfer block in app-builder.

The only drawback is the caller is forced to wait for two ring cycles. My default is 4 rings per cycle, so I created another RCO of 3 rings and changed the RCO on the phone. So if some one calls the on the TF# and if no one answers they will have to wait for 6 rings before CallPilot answers. But at least, the caller can now leave a message.

Any other suggestions are would be appreciated.

Thanks
