experts,

Which is the best way to make a simple task reminder in VFP ?
I've tried it by using timer control and calling Outlook, but all are not satisfied. Please help me.

This is a pretty open-ended question. What is it you want to be reminded of? What is it people aren't satisfied with?

I've done some reminder lists that start up whenever the app is started, and you can get back to with a menu option.

You mention using a timer that launches Outlook, but is everything in your reminder list e-mail based?

I would like to create a reminder list, but am not sure how to begin. Does anyone have any examples or advice on this?

Thanks
Mike

From the VFP menu, select Tools | Task List. Does this do what you want?

Thanks - I know how to get to it with VFP, but I was wondering if anyone has used it within an application. For example a use may come in to the office in the morning and when they start up their application the task list pops up with a list of things that have to be done today (maybe items that have to be shipped).

I'm currently working on one of those. The requirments are :
[ol][li]Permit users to assign tasks to other users.[/li]
[li]Permit users to assign tasks to themselves.[/li]
[li]Users can only see their own tasks.[/li]
[li]Allow managers to view all tasks assigned for his department[/li]
[li]Have the application start on start up, minimized[/li]
[li]Pop-up a messagebox when a task has been assign to the user.[/li]
[li]Color coded grid representing completed task as oppes
to in process tasks.[/li]
[li]Ect...[/li][/ol]

Just so you know I'm design it pretty much like Outlook's task 2003.
Was there a particular point you had a question on?
