Hello,
I have a table,in which 45000 records. One field start from a to i mean value of that field start with a or b or c or d or e or f or g or h or i.

In a form we have taken nine text boxs,on which we have to take sum value of records which are starting from a or b or c or d ....... or i individually.

For this i have taken nine recordsets . all of these recordsets are open on a same command butten. If i click command button ,then i get nine sum values of records ,which are starting fronm a ,b,c,d....... on nine text boxs.

But problem is, i am getting result after a lot of time.
How i can get result as soon as possible.

Someone is suggested to me to do work through array.

PL. if u can solve my problem.

I'd probably consider Summing the values before they go into a recordset so you'll have the data you require at the time of displaying them.
Since you have the values in a table do the sum before returning.

If its SQL you can easily do this in a stored procedure or if its Access call a query which returns to the recordset.

If the calculation is taking time you might consider indexing the table.
