Hi,

I created my web site 2 months ago and it does not appear in google or altavista.
Do you know how I can do?
Is it because my pages are in PHP?
If anyone has an idea...

thanks a lot,

Julie

Have you submitted it to them?

Google:
Alta Vista:
Lots of help on submitting here: , not forgetting the Tek-tips Search Engine Optimisation forum at Forum828 .

Mentioning your URL in this thread would be helpful too.

AltaVista eh [smile] don't hold your breath there. AV is now owned by Yahoo and has been relegated. It has no crawler anymore (Scooter) and the index is being fed by Overture (again owned by Yahoo).

PHP is absolutely no problem for SEs. see thread434-915567

2 months is a little early to worry about indexing. Get some backlinks, read forum828 (SEO) ask specific question there.

Chris.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks Chris Hunt and Chris Heart for answering quickly!

So I will try the Forum 828.

do you know if there is something to do with the number of times my URL is called in other sites?

Julie
