Hi,

I created my web site 2 months ago and it does not appear in google or altavista.
Do you know how I can do?

People told me about the frequency of consulting of my page,
other about the links to my page in other indexes sites...

I introduced the balises <meta description><meta keywords>...
I registrated my page on google too.

If anyone has an idea...

thanks a lot,

Julie

For one, put a link to your site in this thread.

The search engine crawlers will find and follow it.
Assuming your site meets a few basic requirements and the crawler can continue following links within your site then you should find that you appear in search engines.

You can also submit your site to some engines, but this is generally not required.

Maybe there is another reason it isn't being indexed. Can you post the link here and we can take a look to see if there might be a problem.

Some people may disagree, but I feel that frames can be a big obstacle in getting a site properly indexed.

I believe that crawlers can follow through to the pages within a frameset, but I think there are some problems therein.
Namely, if the crawler comes to your frameset and it CAN get through to an individual frame, then it will index that page but any links it follows will take it back to the frameset.

Try putting links to the different parts to your site at the foot of each page in the main frame.

I will look at the site further later on, but I think the 2 Chris's might be able to offer some more help here.

Ok I won't even pretend to half understand any of your content.

As foamcow points out frames are a problem to SEs unless you give special consideration to them and the fact that pages can become orphaned.

first of all I'm just going to ask the question of why do you want the pages to be indexed.

Your site is not really your site, but a subdomain of imim.es and may well take quite bit of work to make sure it is crawlable ie:
get rid of the frames and use server side includes for the navigation.

This may well prove to be difficult if not impossible if the site is driven by a content management system. So more background on the site would be needed before we can give any real useful advice.
Not trying to be awkward here of course, just don't want to give out a huge list of do's and dont's only to find there isn't a lot you can actually change.
