Using procomm plus 4.8, is there a way for me to prt the TN, then saves it to excel and build it back to the switch using the excel info?

not in one easy step but yes you can\,, pepedog.com has an excel macro that puts the tnb into a spread sheet, one set per line.. stations and trunks.. a simple script will take that data and put it back in the switch.. i keep a soft copy of all my loads just in case i get a chance to see how fast i can type... (30 t-1's, 7500 sets)

yes, not in one step.. pepedog.com has the macro that put the tnb in an excel.. one line per set and trunk.. and a scipt will put it back in your switch.. just the tnb, not the cdb, rdb bars etc.. best bet is keep a current soft copy. i keep 10 backup disk, two per day.. one at 7 am and another at midnights... change disk each day..

Hi Again
Soon I will post a script who does that ... more or less... it's still "on concept" but I think I can post it so you all can give me new ideas and help me find all the bugs...
but again it's a beta beta beta version ... and it's free ... so don't complaining...
It works more or less like the UDS script(it's based on it)

see you soon

wow, do you have a script in english hehehe? Reminds me of Matrix. I'll see if I'm the ONE and make it work.

thanks

that's pretty much english, and it runs with very few bumps

OPPS!!! Sorry about that!
I forgot to translat some input boxes ... but can do it before you compile it. - I started in PT, but switched to Eng at some point... you know ... home made software normally it's for internal consume... but I decided to share it.
And it's not bad to know more than one language...

Portuguese, French, Spanish, X11, Aspect, Vbasic, HTML, JavaScript and of course a little bit of English ... eheheh

Thanks J.P

Not considering those ... long time ... Spectrum Basic, Atari800 Basic, Amigados , ... and some code machine for the games ...

and of course Qbasic ... the only "good thing" on the PC at those times...

Best Regards...

I give up, I was getting tons of warnings and invalids when compiling.

I've got the same question, but I'm new to the forum.

I got the macro (pepedog.com) to print my tnb info into an excel spreadsheet. I've made some changes on the spreadsheet. Now I'm stuck. How do I transfer this info from the excel spreadsheet back to my switch. Does anyone have a simple script to copy info from an excel spreadsheet and build a TNB?

Hi NorstarOption
I had to split the script in two!!!

Did you copy the 2 parts of the script? And saved the two together? Only then you can compile the script...

cmptsul01,

I did what you said and got it compiled with no errors. I followed the steps you posted. Printed and captured a TNB saved as 5199.txt. I copied your first example for TFC filter and saved it to notepad TFCDsetv05c_00.tfs. I selected the destination file to 5199.csv. Started it, got the message that it was finish.

I checked the csv file and there was no information there.

Any suggestion? Thanks.

Hi

Yes, the first filter I posted it's for digital sets (2000),
so if open a txt with TNB, most probably it will not work, you should use the TNB filter.
I suggest you to start with a 2000 capture or 500 sets, just to check if it's working and understand how it works, later you can start change or create your own filter from the examples ... Just remember that, for this script (filter) to work the 1º word (keyword) and the last (where you set the loop) are very important, if they don't appear, all the data on .CSV will be Sss up.

And remember that this script it doesn't work 100% "right", ffor instance, I couldn't solve yet the problem of CLS secondary lines, the filter only capture the first line.
The field CLID it's another problem for now, and removing the MARP from the DN, and some more...

Have fun...

At the start of this thread, It was mentioned about "pepdog's" Excel conversion Utility program. I've updated his excellent program last year to include the latest phones / features. Please contact me if you want a free copy.
